This year's
City of Dallas 6th Annual Equity Indicators Symposium
was very informative.
From the Office on Equity and Inclusion, of the 1.3 Million souls in Dallas, approximately:
24% are labeled "Black."
25% of homeowners are labeled "Black."
33.6% labeled "Blacks" are at median household income.
$14.82 is the median hourly wages for those labeled "Black."

Tabling for Freedmen Affairs in Historic Joppa Township, Dallas Texas, on the only truly organic holiday in the United States is always awesome. This year, we printed twice as many fliers to give out; and still ran out before the end of the event.
South Dallas citizens are Ready for Reparations!
On June 19, 2023, council volunteers setup and hosted a comfort/convenience tent in the South Central Park for people to catch shade from the 100+ fell like temperatures. The tent provided cold bottles of water and volunteers were available to answer questions about how Freedmen Descendants can jump start their ancestry search and verification through The Council's My Freedmen Tree programming.
Council Volunteers, Dallas County Texas Field Office, joined with others at the Peabody Community Garden to build it's first Keyhole garden.
